Since 2000 Mary has been teaching yoga. She did her first teacher training through The Meditation Institute with renowned teacher Shanti Gowans. In 2005 Mary completed further training with Swami Shantananda at the Australian College of Classical Yoga gaining a Diploma of Classical Yoga.
She teaches a range of classes to a mixed age group, seniors, beginners and experienced students. Mary's skilful teaching means beginners and experienced students can attend the one class while she offers options to meet individual needs. She demonstrates how one posture can be done gently for beginners, or stronger for experience students wanting challenging work. Students often remark that they like the options offered and that her classes are varied and interesting.
Mary continues professional development training by attending regular workshops and courses. She is a Registered Senior Teacher with Yoga Australia.
